Senior Vice President
Tim Lawrence is the Senior Vice President of Alion’s Advanced Technology Group in Dayton, Ohio. The Advanced Technology Group provides innovative research and development, prototype assembly, test and evaluation, electronic warfare, foreign materiel exploitation, advanced engineering support, avionics and flight systems, life cycle engineering, sustainment as well as reverse engineering for trust and anti-obsolescence initiatives. We focus on some of the most critical programs within the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and the US Army, now including the Army Futures Command. We operate out of offices located near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Previously, Tim served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of MacB’s Advanced Technology Group providing similar technical services for research, engineering and acquisition customers, but mostly focused on Air Force critical programs. Key customers included the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Force Flight Test Center (AFTC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).
Prior to arriving at MacB, Mr. Lawrence was an Operations Manager for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in Dayton, Ohio. In that role, he managed a diversified portfolio of research and engineering-focused programs for customers including AFRL, AFLCMC, NASIC, and the Department of State. Prior to accepting that job, Mr. Lawrence was the Director of Ball Corporation’s System Engineering Services Operations, overseeing the development and growth of system engineering-focused operations across the country, and a branch affiliate in Australia.
Mr. Lawrence earned a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Sciences, both from Purdue University.
