Sid Fuchs is the President of MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a subsidiary of Alion Science and Technology and a leading National Security company with over 1,500 employees worldwide that provides innovative and advanced engineering, cybersecurity, and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies.  He is an accomplished and recognized thought leader, executive, and National Security authority with a 30 year track record of leading and building engineering and technology companies and organizations ranging in size from $100M to over $1.5B in annual revenue that deliver results. MacB was acquired by Alion, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, in August 2018.

His career includes positions of responsibility as a CIA Intelligence Officer, political appointee, university faculty member, and CEO and board member in leading Fortune 100®, publically traded, private equity sponsored, and privately owned corporations in a variety of business models and industries.

In 1986, Fuchs was recruited by the CIA where he spent a decade as an operations officer at domestic and foreign posts.  He then went on to executive positions with Digital Equipment Corporation, Oracle Corporation, and Northrop Grumman and was the President and CEO of TASC, Inc., a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, that grew organically from $450M to over $1.2B under his leadership.  Prior to MacB, he was the President and CEO of OAO Technology Solutions, Inc., a portfolio company of private equity firm JFL Partners, which was acquired in 2010.

He is the author of “Get Off the Bench”, an Amazon Top 20 business book that discusses the concepts and methodologies of building productive professional relationships.  Fuchs is a frequent public speaker to universities, corporations, and government agencies on a variety of business, leadership, and strategy topics.

A graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) with BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Fuchs was inducted into LSU’s College of Engineering Hall of Distinction in 2012 and the LSU Alumni Hall of Distinction in 2016, and currently serves as the Executive in Residence for the LSU College of Engineering.  He is also a graduate of the CIA Special Operations and Training School and the CIA Analysis School and has received political appointments by President George W. Bush and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

Fuchs, a native of New Orleans, and his wife Susan, have three adult sons and reside in Herndon, VA.
