Chief Growth Officer
Gerard (Gerry) Decker is Alion’s Chief Growth Officer, responsible for strategic growth strategies and initiatives across the company. This includes strategic planning, transformational bids, acquisitions, and business development, among other activities. All of his efforts are aimed at developing or expanding discriminating science and technology-based services and solutions to solve urgent, high priority national security requirements.
Gerry has 32 years of U.S. Federal Government industry experience across the DoD, selected civilian agencies, and the intelligence community. His expertise is in providing responsive, technology-enabled services and solutions across a broad range of functions, including intelligence, linguistics, information technology, range operations, nuclear weapon production/management, architectural, and engineering.
His executive leadership roles have included board chairperson for DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations, Inc., in which Gerry managed and operated the $1B DOE Strategic Petroleum Reserve contract, as well as for Global Linguist Solutions, LLC., in which he that operated the $5B INSCOM worldwide language program contract. He was also president, COO, and SVP for McNeil Technologies (bought by AECOM) and, later, president of the AECOM National Security Programs Group, which consolidated all AECOM classified contracts. Prior to these executive leadership roles, Gerry held a series of operational and BD-related positions.
Gerry holds a B. S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Information Technology, both from George Mason University, and he earned a CIO certificate from the GSA’s CIO University.
