The Navy’s Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS) captures and distributes high-definition video and photographic data for navigation and critical mission support. But access to detailed views of components and interconnected systems had been limited.

Working with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), as part of an SAIC team, Alion drafted the ISIS System/Subsystem Design Document (SSDD) to describe the system and its individual components in-depth. Our engineers produced system-level electrical, network, and functional schematics that revealed several wiring design problems that would have gone unnoticed until testing or even deployment.

With SSDD, government and industry personnel can now quickly gain insight to the design and operation of any aspect of ISIS and use the information more effectively.
