Alion Again Recognized as Top Performer by Multiple Industry Publications
Alion has again been honored with appearances on major industry lists from a number of publications. These lists recognize Alion's grotwth, performance and industry impact.
Alion was honored as one of the Top 250 GSA Vendors for 2009 by Federal Times, which also included Alion as one of its Top 100 Federal Contractors.
Washington Technology included Alion on its list of Top 100 Government Information Technology (IT) Contractors for 2009. Alion ranked at No. 39 with $568,721,662 in prime contract revenue. Alion has been ranked on the list every year since 2003. Alion’s profile highlighted the $391 million Naval Systems Engineering Directorate delivery order awarded earlier this year. The Washington Post announced that Alion ranked on the Post 200 Top Private Companies list for the second year in a row. The list names the top Washington, D.C. metro area businesses with headquarters in the District and its suburbs. Companies on the list were ranked by revenue, although some private companies that didn’t submit financial information were evaluated based on other industry metrics. For the third consecutive year, Aviation Week and Space Technology listed Alion on its annual "Aerospace & Defense Industry Rankings for Top Performing Companies." Alion ranked #26 among companies with revenue between $250 million and $1 billion. The rankings and detailed analysis compare companies’ performance within their peer groups.
Alion recently ranked on the Washington Business Journal (WBJ) 2009 list of Largest Government Contractors. The list ranked Alion #14 out of 25 companies based on D.C. metro-area employees.
