Modeling and Simulation

The DoD and industry rely on Alion for a broad array of modeling & simulation (M&S) and technical and professional services; our 2D and 3D modeling solutions support advanced training for both the military and first responders. In addition, Alion leads policy, design and development efforts to create standard automated interfaces between simulation and Command, Control, Communication and Computer Intelligence (C4I) systems.

Wargaming, Experimentation, Scenario Design and Execution
Alion designs and conduct wargames to evaluate future operational concepts and force transformation initiatives. We provide extensive management, analysis and operational support to the US Joint Forces Command.

MSIAC
The Alion-operated Modeling and Simulation Information Analysis Center (MSIAC), the DoD’s center for integrated support of the M&S community, provides broad support for M&S programs throughout the government. In addition, M&S University®, developed by Alion for the MSIAC, provides training on using M&S to make training, acquisition, logistics and experimentation more effective. More

Discrete Modeling
Alion uses discrete event simulation to answer "what if" questions in regards to processes and procedures. By using a chronological sequence of events and variables and known logic of what happens when an event occurs, Alion experts can determine the most effective processes and procedures to meet your needs. Alion uses a variety of tools for discrete event simulation, including our own Micro Saint Sharp™.
