DoD Information Analysis Centers (IACs)

Information Analysis Centers are formal organizations authorized by DoD Regulation 3200.12-R-2 with a primary mission to acquire, digest, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, store, publish and provide advisory and other user services concerning available worldwide scientific and technical information and engineering data in a clearly defined, specialized field or subject area.

The IAC objective is to improve the productivity of researchers, engineers and program mangers in the DoD research, development and acquisition communities. Additionally, these established centers promote standardization within specific technical areas, provide in-depth analysis services and create specialized technical information products.
