Alion Cares/Community Involvement

Alion is committed to playing an active role in the quality of our communities. We strive to create and participate in activities that benefit the areas in which we work and live. As employee-owners we strive to be corporate leaders as well as community leaders.

Alion Cares has identified four focus areas to concentrate our giving and volunteer efforts. The focus areas reflect our customers, employee-owners, company and communities.

While we would like to contribute to all those in need, these focus areas are determined to benefit and add value to the overall mission of Alion.

Alion Cares Focus Areas:

Armed Services - The Armed Services include those organizations that support the American Service Member, their families and missions. Examples include:

• Our Military Kids (Alion company-wide campaign 2010)
• The Christmas You Missed (Virginia Beach)
• Helping our Heroes Foundation
• Marine Corps Toys For Tots
• Semper Comm
• AUSA-USO World Headquarters

Science and Technology - As a science and technology company we support those programs whose focus is to promote science and technology within schools and communities. Alion has been a proud sponsor of the following science and technology programs:

• Alion Science Grant Program
• FIRST Robotics Competition
• Anne Arundel County (MD) Regional Science and Engineering Fair
• Annapolis (MD) Boys and Girls Club
• Alion Dependent Children Scholarship Fund
• Northern Virginia Technology Council
• Tech Council of Maryland

Health and Wellness - Alion promotes health research and wellness in not only our employees but in our communities. Through donations and participation, Alion supports health and wellness organization both on the local and national level. In the past Alion has proudly supported the following organizations:

• INOVA Fairfax (VA) Hospital for Children
• American Red Cross
• Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
• Easter Seals
• The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Community Outreach - Alion participates in and supports programs that foster community and personal development. Programs Alion has sponsored in the past include:

• Fairfax (VA) and Sumter (SC) Chambers of Commerce
